Yankee Freedom orders new Dry Tortugas ferry

Key West, Fla.-based Yankee Freedom has ordered a new 300-passenger, high-speed catamaran ferry from Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding, Duclos Corporation for passenger service between Key West and the Dry Tortugas National Park. The new Dry Tortugas ferry will replace Yankee Freedom III, a 250-passenger catamaran built for the 70-mile run by the Somerset, Mass., shipyard in 2012.

In early March 2022, Snow & Company of Seattle, Wash., handed off Savannah, the first of two new 64-foot aluminum pilot boats to the Savannah Pilots Association.

Rolls-Royce business unit Power Systems will deliver the automation solutions (in German FüSAS – Führungssystem Automation Schiffstechnik) for the four new F126 frigates for the German Navy. The scope of delivery includes the mtu NautIQ Master and mtu NautIQ Foresight products.

Gladding-Hearn completes Bermuda Incat ferry refit

Resolute, one of two high-speed passenger catamaran ferries delivered by Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding, Duclos Corporation, to the Government of Bermuda, Ministry on Transport in 2002, has returned to service after a compete refit at the Somerset, Mass., shipyard.
