Nippon Express USA has launched “US EXPORT SERVICE Via MEXICO” (U.S.E. ME), a new BCP-compatible multimodal transport service for shipments from the United States and Canada to Asia via Mexico.

The service moves cargo overland by trailer from various locations in North America to a Nippon Express warehouse in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, where it is loaded into containers and transported by sea from the port of Manzanillo in Mexico to ports in Japan and other Asian countries.

Aiming to get around cargo bottlenecks at West Coast ports, Nippon Express has launched a multimodal service that will transport cargo from the U.S. and Canada to Asia via Mexico.

KMTC and Nippon Express to facilitate China-Japan shipments

South Korean feeder operator Korea Marine Transport Company (KMTC) Line will partner with Japanese third-party logistics company Nippon Express to arrange shipping, customs clearance and door-to-door delivery for containers shipped between China and Japan.

Japanese third-party logistics services provider Nippon Express Co. Ltd. (TYO: 9062) on Thursday said it has completed the acquisition of MD Logistics and MD Express of Plainfield, Indiana.
