Austal USA selects Kongsberg Promas systems for its first OPC

Austal USA has selected Kongsberg Maritime to supply its Promas propulsion system to the latest ship in the United States Coast Guard’s new Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) Heritage Class program.

Eastern Shipbuilding files GAO bid protest of Stage 2 OPC award

Panama City. Fla.-based Eastern Shipbuilding Group Inc. (ESG) has filed a bid protest with the GAO contesting the U.S. Coast Guard’s decision to award Stage 2 of the Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) program to Mobile, Ala.-based Austal USA.

The Coast Guard reports that it has awarded a fixed-price incentive (firm target) contract to Austal USA. Mobile, Ala. to produce up to 11 Offshore Patrol Cutters (OPCs). Bollinger submits final proposal to build Stage 2 of OPC program

Bollinger Shipyards says that today it submitted its final proposal to the U.S. Coast Guard to build Stage 2 of the Heritage-class Offshore Patrol Cutter program.
