North Vancouver, B.C., based Seaspan Energy has launched the second of its three 7,600 cubic meter LNG bunkering vessels. Called the Seaspan Lions, it is named a pair of pointed peaks along the North Shore Mountains in Metro Vancouver, B.C., that are known as Ch’ich’iyúy Elxwíkn (“Twin Sisters” or “Two Sisters”) to the Squamish Nation.

Weekend snowstorm heads for parts of the Northwest

Truckers will run into periods of heavy snow and high winds this weekend in parts of the Cascades and Rockies.

More specifically, the worst conditions will likely hit the Washington Cascades and northern sections of the Rockies in Idaho and Montana. Most of the snow will accumulate above 2,500 feet in elevation from late Friday afternoon through Saturday.

Flood risk elevated as storms pound Pacific Northwest

As storms continue dumping snow in the high elevations of the Cascades, wet weather could be an issue for truckers in the valleys.

A few more rounds of heavy rain will hit the lowlands and coastal areas of western Washington and Oregon over the next two days, fading later Friday.
