Austal Australia adds two more Evolved Cape patrol boats to its order book

Austal Limited (ASX:ASB) reports that Austal Australia has been awarded a contract extension for the construction of two additional Evolved Cape-class patrol boats for the Royal Australian Navy.

The AUD $157 million (about US$ 103 million) contract follows the procurement announcement made by the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) on November 23, 2023 and brings the total number of Evolved Cape-class patrol boats being delivered to the Royal Australian Navy, under the SEA1445-1 Project, to ten.

Austal USA wins $867.6 million order for three Expeditionary Medical Ships

Austal USA, Mobile, Ala., has been awarded an $867,666,667 modification to a previously awarded U.S. Navy contract (N00024-19-C-2227) for the detail design, and construction of three Expeditionary Medical Ships, an Expeditionary Fast Transport variant.

Austal Australia delivers 17th Guardian-class patrol boat

Austal Australia has delivered the 17th Guardian-class patrol boat (GCPB) to the Australian Department of Defence. The vessel, HMPNGS Gilbert Toropo, was then gifted by the Australian Government to the Papua New Guinea Defence Force at a handover ceremony held at HMAS Stirling, Western Australia.

Navy awards Austal USA $230.5 million EPF contract

Shipbuilder Austal USA has been awarded a $230.5 million contract for the detail design and construction of EPF 16, the U.S. Navy’s newest Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF) ship.

EPF 16 will be the third ship constructed in “Flight II” configuration, which has enhanced medical and aviation capabilities.
