October truck crossings rise 5% at Port Laredo

The World Trade and Colombia Solidarity bridges in Laredo, Texas, saw 10,426 more commercial truck crossings in October compared with October 2019, according to the city of Laredo.

Mexico is again the top trading partner of the United States, with two-way trade totaling $290.6 billion from January through July.

International trade at Texas ports falls sharply

Most ports across Texas saw steep declines in imports from Mexico and other countries as the coronavirus continues to impact international trade.

Trade at the Port of El Paso plunged 49%, from $39 billion to $20 billion through the first six months of 2020 when compared to the same period in 2019, according to WorldCity analysis of U.S. Census Bureau data.

For the second straight month, international truck crossings dropped dramatically at ports across Texas.

The World Trade and Colombia Solidarity bridges in Laredo, Texas, saw 68,473 fewer commercial truck crossings from Mexico in May compared with May 2019, according to the city of Laredo.

US-Mexico truck crossings decline 22% at Port Laredo in April

The World Trade and Colombia Solidarity bridges in Laredo, Texas, saw 41,100 fewer commercial truck crossings in April compared with April 2019, according to the city of Laredo.
