Peel Ports Group expands Liverpool’s steel terminal

UK port and terminal operator Peel Ports Group is expanding its steel and metals terminal at the Port of Liverpool in response to increased client demand.

Peel Ports began construction of the 1,858 m² extended warehouse at its North 3 Canada Dock in the current year.

Port of Liverpool’s container division to commence redundancy consultations

Following a “sustained and significant deterioration” in container volumes at the port, the Port of Liverpool will commence redundancy consultations with workers in its container sector.

Stanlow Terminals has announced plans to develop a major new open-access import terminal for green ammonia in the Port of Liverpool.

SCH, Peel Ports cooperate for car storage and transporter park expansion at Port of Liverpool

Logistics company SCH has agreed on a multi-year lease with Peel Ports Group as part of a major expansion of a car storage and transporter park at the Port of Liverpool.

Liverpool port dispute escalates, dockworkers to go on another two-week strike

Nearly 600 Liverpool port workers will take two more weeks of strike action over pay and jobs from 24 October to 7 November, according to the British trade union, Unite.

“Since the strikes at the docks began on 19 September, the workers have been subject to job threats despite plans to expand the port and untrue statements that they are being offered 10.2% by the company.
