Port of New York and New Jersey moves the most TEUs since October 2022

Peak season for the Port of New York and New Jersey has arrived. Not only did the port take the top spot for containers moved in July, but it was the port’s highest monthly total since October 2022. A total of 725,479 TEUs were processed in July.

WDS expands its facility near the port of NY/ NJ

World Distribution Services (WDS) has upgraded its new distribution facility Linden, located in New Jersey, US to provide the necessary additional storage capacity in the New York / New Jersey port community.

Volumes uptrend at the Port of NY & NJ continues

The Port of New York and New Jersey saw another double-digit increase for total container volume in May, while rail volume broke its all-time monthly record.

The total volume for May was 796,693TEU, which translates to a 48.2% increase in comparison to 537,412TEU in May 2020. This increase brings total box volumes to over 3.64 million TEU for the year through May.

Port of NY/NJ strives to keep cargo flowing

Port of New York and New Jersey officials announced Monday they are “taking extra measures to keep the supply chain fluid.”
