The Summer of Sailing 2019/2020

We previously announced the 2019 Worlds will be in Auckland, New Zealand in early December 2019. Complimenting that regatta is the freshly signed 2020 Worlds to be held in Geelong, Australia in mid-February 2020.

Our fleets will be able to head down under for a five regatta series between two fantastic sailing venues for an intense bit of racing and training in the final build up to Tokyo 2020

Spring Olympic classes regattas confirmed for 2019 and 2020; European Olympic qualifier to be held in Genoa

The Spring dates for the World Cup Series Genoa and the Hyéres Regatta, which will follow the Trofeo Princesa Sofia have been revised and are now confirmed for 2019 and 2020.

Sailing yacht experiences catastrophic rigging failure

According to UK MAIB, during a training passage on the south coast of England a commercially operated sailing yacht experienced a catastrophic rigging failure that led to it being dismasted. There were no injuries and the mast was cut free and released overboard.

Sofia Tomasoni (ITA) and Deury Corniel (DOM) won gold in the Kiteboarding on the last day of the Youth Olympic Sailing Competition at Club Nautico San Isidro, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
