4 arrested in Texas truck smuggling incident that left 53 dead

Federal prosecutors say four Mexican nationals have been arrested in connection with the deaths of 53 migrants found abandoned last year inside a locked tractor-trailer in San Antonio, Texas.

The four arrests, announced Tuesday, include Riley Covarrubias-Ponce, 30; Felipe Orduna-Torres, 28; Luis Alberto Rivera-Leal, 37; and Armando Gonzales-Ortega, 53. The men were apprehended in San Antonio, Houston and Marshall, Texas.

Delorean announces comeback as all-electric sports car

DeLorean Motor Co., maker of the iconic DMC-12 luxury car, announced it is rebooting the automobile as an all-electric vehicle.

DeLorean officials said the company’s new headquarters will be in San Antonio, adding 450 jobs in executive, management and engineering roles.

Like Interstate 2 (I-2), I-27 and I-45, I-37 is an intrastate interstate highway that runs entirely within Texas. Its total length is 143 miles.

Truck carrying bees crashes, releases swarm

A tractor-trailer hauling a load of honeybees overturned Sunday on a Texas highway, releasing a swarm in downtown San Antonio, according to local authorities.

The incident occurred around 11 a.m. on Interstate 10 West, when a truck owned by a bee removal business turned over while negotiating a curve on an off-ramp to eastbound Interstate 35.
