Seafarer Rushed To Hospital Following Accident In Port Of Auckland

A severely injured individual has been taken to the hospital following an accident on a vessel berthed at a container wharf in Auckland. Paramedics and firefighters were called to the Fergusson Wharf a little after 7.30 am.

The person slipped and got trapped in a raising gangway – the stairs, which lead from a vessel to the wharf – by their legs, suffering injuries.
