A week after a Chinese supervisor was charged with the torture killing of 20year old sailor on the Lu Huang Yuan 118, recent updates include three more arrests of recruiting agency bosses over the death of the Indonesian crew member.

The three suspects are charged on the grounds of human trafficking law, as well as the fact that they put crew members at risk, on purpose, said Awi Setiyono, national police spokesperson.

Coronavirus: Delivery of World’s Largest Cruise Ship Delayed

The wonder of the Seas, which will supposedly be the largest cruise ship ever built, has experienced a delay in its delivery due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The ship, operated by Royal Caribbean, was presumed to be delivered in 2021. Currently, it is under construction in Saint-Nazaire, France. The ship was to reportedly be based out of Shanghai, China. 

With a capacity of 6,000 passengers, alongside 2,200 crewmembers, would be the largest cruise ship ever after it’s construction ends.

Coronavirus: India Allows Crew Change For Foreign Nationals

The Indian Directorate General of Shipping, also known as DG Shipping, announced on Friday that seafarers of foreign nations would be allowed to sign off in Indian ports. They would then be given the option to obtain flights to their host countries.

However, this decision would only be applicable to all ships, excluding cruise vessels from the list.

The option of flights to ferry the seafarers out of the country would be given via ‘Vande Bharat’ flights, commercial flights and chartered flights.
