Indonesia’s transport minister bats for Patimban Port

Indonesia’s transport minister Budi Karya Sumadi said that Patimban Port’s new US$3 billion container terminal, which is now under construction, is expected to be operational before 2027.

Patimban is located 145km east of Jakarta and will become Indonesia’s largest port when fully completed in, eclipsing Tanjung Priok port in the capital city. Patimban will complement Kertajati International Airport, around 25km south of the port, which opened in May 2018.
