Volvo Trucks’ Mexico exit raises concerns for carriers

At Laredo, Texas-based carrier Super Transport International (STI), about 90% of the fleet of 500 vehicles are Volvo trucks.

Company founder Ernesto Gaytan Sr. said Volvo makes the “best truck out there.”

Specialized heavy hauling offers big opportunity for Laredo company (with video)

Cross-border heavy-haul products keep getting bigger and bigger, said Ernesto Gaytan Jr., general manager of Laredo, Texas-based carrier Super Transport International (STI).
