Port of Thessaloniki acquires majority stake in another Greek port

The Thessaloniki Port Authority (ThPA), which manages the second largest port in Greece, has announced the acquisition of 67% of Volos Port Authority, the managing company of another greek port.

The transaction price was €51 million (US$53.6 million).

ThPA’s participation in the tender for the utilisation of the Port of Volos was decided by the Company’s Board of Directors following a comprehensive market analysis and an assessment of the Volos port’s development prospects.

New rail service launches between Greece and Serbia
