Port state controllers in Europe and Asia will launch an international inspection campaign focused on fire safety.

The purpose of the campaign is to create awareness among the ship’s crew and owners about the importance of fire safety and to verify that ships are complying with fire safety requirements.

55 of 216 Ships Detained Concerning CIC : Tokyo MoU Reported

Tokyo MoU has carried out a Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on Emergency Systems noting that a total of 216 ships were detained during the campaign, with 55 of these relating to the CIC topic, says a report published on their website.
