COSCO starts new China-Thailand service

Chinese container shipping giant COSCO will launch a new service connecting major ports in China with Thailand.

COSCO’s Qinzhou-Thailand Service (QTS) will call at Laem Chabang (Thailand), Qinzhou (China), Nansha (China), Shekou (China), Laem Chabang.

The service will turn in two weeks and will be operated by two Bangkokmax container vessels.

COSCO’s service commenced on 23 April with the 1,717 TEU Olympia from the port of Laem Chabang.

MSC begins new shuttle service between Asia and Mexico

MSC announced the launch of a new loop shuttle service, linking Asia and the West Coast of Mexico.

This new service is expected to enhance MSC’s network by providing increased coverage and frequency between these two regions, complementing the company’s existing services Andes, Aztec, Inca and Santana.

CMA CGM applies new peak season surcharges from Asia to West Africa

In an ongoing commitment to enhance service reliability and efficiency, CMA CGM has announced the implementation of two Peak Season Surcharges (PSS).

The first PSS will take effect from 29 April 2024 (loading date) until further notice. It applies to shipments originating from China to the West Africa Central Range, encompassing destinations such as Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Ghana, Togo, and Equatorial Guinea. CMA CGM expires congestion surcharge in Congo

CMA CGM is expiring the Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS) for cargo originating from North America and destined for the port of Matadi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The surcharge was applied to both dry and reefer cargo and amounted to US$200 per TEU.

WinGD to install new X-S short-stroke engine design
