Supply chain veteran leading Denver’s Transportation Institute

The University of Denver has appointed David Fisher to executive director of its Transportation Institute (DTI), a graduate education program designed for transportation, logistics and supply chain executives.

Fisher brings more than 30 years of supply chain experience to the position.

U.S. maritime workforce grows to 650,000, group says

Following last month’s news of 304,000 U.S. jobs created in January, Transportation Institute (TI), a maritime association which advocates and works for sound national maritime policy in the U.S., announced a 30% increase in domestic maritime job creation enabled by the Jones Act.
