Singapore conducts Asia’s first trial of methanol as marine fuel

The Methanol Institute (MI) is backing a project at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) of Singapore which is expected to be the first evaluation of methanol as a marine fuel in Asia. The announcement came only one month after the IMO’s MSC 100 in December marked further steps to the adoption of methanol as an alternative marine fuel.
