CMA CGM orders 10 new container ships from China

CMA CGM has made an order of 10 new container ships from China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC). Five of them will be powered by LNG and five will be fitted with scrubbers.

Each vessel will have a capacity of 15,000 TEUs and a length of 366 meters. According to a statement, the ships will be delivered from 2021 in replacement of ten other vessels and will be used on the Asia-Mediterranean lines.
