Contship OAK kidnapped crew members released

Four kidnapped crew members of Contship OAK have been released. Negotiations lasted more than one month.

The container vessel was attacked by pirates on March 30 in Douala, Cameroon, Gulf of Guinea. The -1,100 TEU- boxship was anchored at the time of the attack.

Contships Management, responding to Container News request, commented:
