MacGregor and Kongsberg Maritime signed an agreement according to which the former will deliver automated mooring system for the world’s first autonomous container ship, Yara Birkeland. Thus, automation will enable mooring operations to be conducted with no need of human intervention and also will support effective operation of the fully electric, zero emission vessel.
