The Moroccan police have seized 27.3 tons of cannabis in the northern port of Tanger-Med, Moroccan newspaper Le Matin said on Tuesday, July 9.
Security services at the Tanger-Med port foiled on Sunday an attempt to traffic 27.3 tons of cannabis on board three freight trucks registered in Morocco, it added.
The drug was put in 16 containers in the trailers of the three trucks, it said.
The three drivers of the trucks and their assistants were arrested, it said, adding that all of them are Moroccans...
