Greek authorities release Maersk Launceston

Maersk Launceston has departed from the Port of Piraeus, where it was moored from 27 October, the day it destroyed a Greek Navy minesweeper named Kallisto.

The Greek ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy gave the 2005-built container ship its permission to depart from Piraeus on 11 November. The 4,000TEU boxship, operated by the German owner Essberger, is on its way to the Port of Algeciras, Spain, according to MarineTraffic.
