Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has announced a couple of emergency surcharges, which will take place on the eastbound leg of the Transpacific trade and will be effective from the new year.
The COSCO-owned carrier will implement an emergency intermodal surcharge (EIS) of US$350/dry container on all door moves via US West Coast ports at Long Beach, Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle and Tacoma.
