Oman Shipping adds to its VLCC fleet

Capt. John

Part of the Asyad group, Oman Shipping Company has taken delivery of the 300,000 dwt Dhalkot, the third in a series of large tankers ordered from the DSME shipyard in South Korea. The other two sisters, Sur and Bahla, were delivered last year and all three are now on long term charter to Shell Eastern.

The 336m long Dhalkot is the 60th vessel in the company’s fleet. Flying the Marshall Islands flag, it will be managed in house by Oman Shipping’s ship management arm.
