Siemens Smart Infrastructure has been commissioned by Germany’s Port of Kiel for the deployment of a Cloud-based power monitoring solution for its shore power system.
Also developed by Siemens, the port’s shore power system will provide green power to the vessels berthed at the Ostseekai and Schwedenkai connecting points.
The system is expected to cut down more than 8,000tpa of CO₂.
