E. & J. Gallo Winery (Gallo), a global wine and spirits company, has revealed its plans to build a production facility and distribution centre in Chester County in South Carolina near the Port of Charleston.
Construction is set to begin soon with the first phase of the project on track to be completed in October 2022. The investment is expected to cost US$423 million and will create approximately 500 new job positions over the next eight years, according to a statement.
