LNG tanker HOEGH ESPERANZA ran aground in Rio de la Plata fairway approaching Buenos Aires at around 0100 UTC Jul 30. Tanker is en route from Corpus Christi, understood she’s in load. As of 1730 UTC was in the same position, tug at her side, CG boat on standby.
Jul 31 UPDATE: Refloated in the evening Jul 30, resumed moving towards port of destination Escobar LNG Plant. As of 0400 UTC Jul 31, she was moving through La Plata anchorage, probably to be anchored for inspection.
