The Houston Ship Channel on Monday halted inbound and outbound transit activity head of Tropical Storm Nicholas, a port official said.Nicholas on Monday was making its way towards the southern Texas coast with sustained winds of around 60 miles per hour, according to the National Hurricane Center.
