JNPT upturn continues

Indian container gateway, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), witnessed a big upswing in cargo handling last month, recording a throughput of 453,105 TEU in August, an increase of 28.45% compared to the 352,735 TEU recorded in the same month last year. One terminal, the NSIGT facility, handled 98,473 TEU in August, its highest ever monthly throughput since its inception.
