Port of Salalah has invested in 16 eco-efficient rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes and three mobile harbour cranes to expand operations, improve container handling capabilities, as well as reduce its environmental impact.
Oman’s largest port has already taken delivery of 12 out of the 16 new eco-efficient RTG cranes from the heavy-duty equipment manufacturer Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC). The cranes are estimated to be operational by January 2022.
