The wreckage of explorer Ernest Shackleton’s ship dubbed Endurance that had been crushed by Antarctic ice and sank about 10,000 feet to the ocean’s floor over a century ago, was found, a team that was searching for it informed on 9 March. The three-masted sailing vessel was reportedly lost in 1915 (November) during Shackleton’s failed trial to make Antarctica’s first land crossing.
