Keel Laying Ceremony For China’s First SOVS

On 30 Nov 2022, the first SOVs for wind farms in China had their keel-laying ceremony at the ZPMC yard. The two vessels of the ULSTEIN SX195 and SX197 designs are ordered by Shanghai Electric, with scheduled delivery time end of 2023 and early 2024, respectively.

China’s first Service Operation Vessel (SOV) project contains two different designs, both with ULSTEIN’s iconic design features, the X-BOW® and the X-STERN®.
