Car carrier disabled leaving Brunswick, near GOLDEN RAY disaster site

Car carrier TREASURE lost power and went NUC at 1730 LT Dec 24 while leaving Brunswick, bound for Philadelphia with some 1000 cars on board. The ship started to drift towards Jekyll Island Pier, but thanks to quick respond of two tugs, by 1713 TREASURE was already under control, and safely anchored at Brunswick river mouth. Crew managed to restore power, the ship resumed voyage in the morning Dec 25.
