A cargo vessel dubbed DAI CAT 06 on Jan 9 was reported missing in the South China Sea; no communications were done during the last ten days. The previous AIS position dated Jan 3 was the South China Sea about 120 nm NE of Singapore. The vessel’s Emergency Position Indicator Radio Beacon (EPIRB) was found 30 nm to the NW of Pemangkat, Indonesia, on Jan 8.
