On Tuesday, January 17 afternoon, an oil tanker in the Muang district of Thailand experienced an explosion that left four welders injured and took one person’s life, reports Marine Insight.
The vessel Smooth Sea 22 was docked on the Mae Klong river when the explosion happened.
It resulted in a fire onboard the 6500 deadweight tonnes tanker, which 40 workers were repairing – 10 on the ship and 30 on the banks as part of its regular maintenance plan....
