Oman’s Asyad Shipping has signed an agreement with Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries in South Korea to build two large LNG carriers for delivery in 2026. Then 174,000 m3 capacity vessels will be designed to meet the latest international environmental standards and are expected to consume 58% less fuel than the older, second-generation 138,000 m3 LNG carriers in the group’s fleet.
