A huge container vessel sank outside Kaohsiung Port on the morning of 21st July.

The day before, the Palau-flagged ship named Angel listed on its port side. The Taiwan International Ports Corporation (TIPC), which manages that port’s operations, tried to save the vessel, but it began taking on water and sank from the stern.
Only the ship’s bow could be seen above the water. Hence many containers on board fell into the sea.
