PORT of Corpus Christi in Texas, US, reported that nearly 50 million tonnes of cargo passed through the Corpus Christi Ship Channel in the second quarter of 2023, setting a record for the fifth consecutive quarter. The port said the 49.7 million tonnes moved in the second quarter was a 7.1 per cent increase from the same period last year and slightly higher than the prior record set in the first quarter of 2023.
