A container ship has refuelled with bio-methanol at the world’s largest bunkering hub Singapore, the first such operation to have taken place at the city-state, its port authority said on Thursday.
The fuel was loaded onto a Maersk container vessel that had earlier left Ulsan, South Korea, having been fuelled with OCI Global OCI Hy Fuels ISCC certified green methanol. It is on its way to Copenhagen, Denmark, and will also refuel at Egypt and Rotterdam.
