UPDATE 2310 Tokyo time Nov 21: The ship struck an underwater rock at 0130 Tokyo time Nov 21, was breached and suffered water ingress, with heavy starboard list. 12 crew were taken off the ship, all safe. Abandoned ship drifted south, at around 1030 Tokyo time was taken on tow, towed to Yashiro Island and, understood anchored off Kodomari, southern Yashiro Island, at around 1310 Tokyo time. No leak reported. The ship is loaded with cars and some general goods.
