MSC 9,000 TEU container ship troubled in Weser

Container ship MSC SOFIA CELESTE suffered engine failure in Outer Weser while navigating from Bremerhaven at around 1735 UTC Nov 23, and had to emergency anchor in fairway between buoys 43 and 44 in fairway, in front of Wremer Loch, with wind reaching 100 km/h in gusts. 4 tugs assisted disabled ship, she started moving at 2050 UTC, understood on tow, resumed sailing under own power at around 0400 UTC Nov 24, and at around 1030 UTC was safely berthed at destination port, Hamburg.
