On Sunday night, the container ship MSC Maritina V made its entrance into the port of Riga, marking the largest container vessel to ever visit the Latvian port.
Measuring 266 meters in length and 37 meters in width, the ship operates under the flag of Madeira (Portugal) and boasts a maximum capacity of 4,533 TEUs (20-foot containers). MSC, the Swiss-based international company, which operates the vessel, has incorporated the Port of Riga into its regular container line route.
