Palm oil spill in Malaysia’s Port Klang

Officials in Malaysia’s Selangor state are cleaning up an oil spill in Malaysia’s Port Klang on 5 July, after a hose at a factory’s palm oil storage began leaking.

The oil spill, observed by the Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS), caused some parts of the waters to turn orange.

LUAS said, “The leak is believed to have caused oil to spill into the drain at the premises, which flowed into the nearby canal.”
