Melbourne achieves slight container increase in June

Port of Melbourne handled 264,000 TEUs in June, translating to a 2.3% increase compared to the same month last year.

The Australian port reported that full container imports (excluding Bass Strait) volumes were up in June 2024 against prior year with furniture, domestic appliances  timber all above last year’s volumes.

Additionally, full container exports (excluding Bass Strait) volumes were also increased with timber, hay, chaff & fodder, barley and meats all above last year’s volumes.
