FORMER Polar Air Cargo executive Robert Schirmer has been sentenced to 18 months after pleading guilty in the Southern District Court of New York to taking part in a scheme to defraud the US cargo airline, reported Bloomberg. Schirmer will undergo supervision for three years. He pleaded guilty last October to one count of conspiring to commit wire fraud and honest services wire fraud, which carries a maximum sentence of five years.
