Post-peak air cargo decline less than expected

Capt. John

AIR cargo demand from Asia Pacific has softened post-peak season but not as sharply as anticipated, reports Mumbai’s Stat Trade Times. While volumes dipped 33 per cent from December highs, this is only slightly steeper than last year’s 30 per cent drop. By mid-January, tonnages rebounded to 90 per cent of peak levels. However, Europe’s recovery lags due to the early Lunar New Year and last year’s strong market influenced by the Red Sea crisis. SeaNews Turkey
