DP World is moving over to electrical power for inter-terminal container flows at Jebel Ali port, in partnership with Einride, as part of ongoing efforts to decarbonise terminal operations. The first wave of the electric fleet is set to move over 204,000 TEU annually. The initiative is expected to reduce emissions by 14,600 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) annually, compared to diesel operations.
