C.H. Robinson joins TriumphPay’s payments platform

Triumph Financial announced Monday that C.H. Robinson has joined its freight payments platform. The strategic partnership opens the menu of transportation finance solutions on the TriumphPay Network to C.H. Robinson’s 450,000 contract carriers.

Radiant Logistics sees sequential quarterly improvement moving forward

Management from Radiant Logistics said Thursday that the worst of the cycle has likely passed. The comments came on its quarterly earnings call with analysts.

Renton, Washington-based Radiant (NYSE: RLGT) reported a headline net loss of $700,000, or 2 cents per share, for its fiscal third quarter ended March 31. That compares to 8 cents in earnings per share in the year-ago period. On an adjusted basis, EPS of 8 cents was in line with the consensus estimate but 9 cents lower year over year (y/y).

Freight brokerages struggle through a long trough

Air Van acquires fellow 3PL G&C Cartage

Third-party logistics provider Air Van announced Monday it has acquired fellow Jacksonville, Florida-based company G&C Cartage.

Founded in 1971, G&C Cartage provides warehousing and transportation services to clients out of a lone facility with more than 35,000 square feet of space. The company recently underwent an overhaul, allowing it to reduce costs by more than one-third while doubling profitability.

Financial terms of the transaction were not provided.
